West Indies A are in a strong position in the Third and Final Test at Gros Islet after finishing Day 2 at 320 for 8. With this homeside has collected a handy lead of 90 runs in the first innings with two wickets in hand.
Resuming Day 2 at 34/0, West Indies A were in a spot of bother at 142 for 4 before getting some useful partnerships to close the day in a good position. Opener Kieran Powell led the way for the hosts with a superb 139 (from 255 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes). Wicket Keeper Devon Thomas scored a crucial 50 (from 90 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes).
For the visiting India A, pacers Shami Ahmed and Parvinder Awana took a couple of wickets each while offie Jalaj Saxena came up with a superb 3 for 55 in 27 overs.
